1h standing in a line for a 10 mins visit, that's what I did today with my idea of visiting the newly reopened "Collège des Bernardins" one of the few Middle Age building in Paris. This was overcrowded and many places were closed to the public.

1h de queue pour 10 mins de visite, c'est ce que j'ai fait avec ma formidable idée d'aller aux portes ouvertes du Collège des Bernardins, un des rares bâtiments médiévaux (hormis les églises) de Paris. Il y avait foule et beaucoup de pièces étaient fermées au public.

Fontaine Wallace

Sir Wallace was an (American) English Billionaire who loved Paris and decided to give this town a present: a bunch a fountains who are called after him: Wallace Fountains. You can see one of them in the middle of this little square.

M. Wallace était un milliardaire (américain) anglais amoureux de Paris. Il décida alors de faire à cette ville un présent sous la forme d'une série de petites fontaines qui portent désormais son nom. Vous la voyez au milieu de cette petite place.

Roland Dorgelès en force!

I found this bench on a parc in Paris. Somewhere on it is written "Roland Dorgelès en force" something almost 'untranslatable' or by some "Strong Roland Dorgelès". I wondered if the presumed young people who are the author of this know that Roland Dorgelès fought in WW1 and then was an anti-war writer with his novel Les croix de bois (The wooden crosses) French equivalent (If I can say so) of remarque's Im Westen Nichts Neues.

J'ai trouvé ce banc dans un parc à Paris. Quelque part on peut y lire 'Roland Dorgelès en force'. Je me suis alors demandé si les supposés jeunes qui avait écrit cela connaissait le vrai Roland Dorgelès, l'écrivain pacifiste qui a combattu en 14 et qui est l'auteur des Croix de Bois. Pour en savoir plus sur lui, vous pouvez aller là!

Today is September Theme day with as subject: sisters cities.

I am from Paris and Paris' only sister city is Rome.
It has been decided that only Rome is worth Paris and only Paris is worth Rome. Paris as many partner city but a unique sister city.

No need to present this monument!

Aujourd'hui est la journée thématique de septembre avec comme sujet: les villes jumelles.

Paris n'est jumelée qu'avec Rome car il a été décidé que seule Rome était à la hauteur de Paris et seule Paris était à la hauteur de Rome.

Il n'est bien sûr pas besoin de présenter ce monument!
