Pont Neuf

Le Pont Neuf "Nowy Most" jest najstarszym mostem paryskim. Kiedys, bardzo dawno temu byl nowoczesny! :) Byl budowany w okresie panowania krola Henryka IV (1594-1610). Jest pierwszy kamiennowy most, przede nim budowano mosty drzewem z domami nad nimi.

Le Pont neuf construit sous Henri IV est le plus vieux pont de Paris. Un jour il fut moderne et n'en reste pas moins, à mon sens l'un des ponts les plus élégants. Ce fut le premier pont construit en pierres.

The ¨Pont Neuf", New Bridge is the oldest bridge in Paris. One day, a long time ago it was very modern! :) It was built during thereign of Henri IV (1594-1610) and was the first briudge built in stones. Before him, the bridges were built in wood with houses on them.

Velib' to rowery do wynajecia wszedzie w Paryzu. Mozna ich uzywac 30 min za darmo a potem trzeba zaplacic 1€ za pierwsza godzine. Nigdy nie pojechalam Velib'ami bo lubie chodzic a mam swoj rower, ale w ogole sa bardzo popularne.

Une station de Vélib' à Paris. Je n'ai jamais utilisé de Vélib' car j'aime marcher et j'ai mon propre vélo mais en général ils sont très populaires.
Here is one Velib' station in Paris. That are rental bike. You can use one for free for 30 mins and then it's €1 for an hour. I have not used it as I enjoy walking and have my own bike but they are very popular here.

To wlasnie Opera Garnier. Garnier byl architektem ktory budowal pod panowaniu Cesarza Napoleon III ten budynek. A Aleja Opery "Avenue de l'Opéra" skad zrobilam zdjecie jest fajnym przykladem "Haussmannizacji". Haussmann byl prefektem Paryza pod Napoléonie III (1852-1870) i zdecydowal odbudowac Paryz. Z niskich uliczek budowal wielkie i proste aleje.

Voilà l'Opéra Garnier construit par l'architecte du même nom sous le règne de Napoléon III (1852-1870). Et l'Avenue de l'Opéra bel exemple de l'haussmannisation de Paris.

Here is one of the Operas of Paris, the Opéra Garnier. Garnier was the architect who built him during Napoléon III reign (1852-1870). The Avenue de l'Opéra where I stand to take the picture is a good example of the Haussmannisation of Paris. (Building of large straight streets instead of shortlabyrinth-like ones)

Wczoraj, zjadalam obiad z przyjaciolka w Brasserie sklepu "Le Printemps" (Wiosna). Jedzenie bardzo smakowalo a dekoracja byla bardzo modna. Codziennie nie jem w tym typu knajpy to za drogo, ale czasami trzeba sie bawic nie?!

Hier j'ai pris mon déjeuner à la Brasserie du Printemps. La nourriture était très savoureuse et la déco très branchée. Je ne mange cependant pas tous les jours dans ce genre de restaurant, je n'en ai pas les moyens. Mais une fois de temps en temps ça ne fait pas de mal ;-).

Yesterday I ate lunch with a good friend of mine at the Brasserie of the shop Le Printemps. Food tasted very good and decoration was very fashionnable. I don't eat everyday in such restaurants, I can't afford them but once in a while, that's always nice! :-)
