Le Pont Alexandre III, le Grand et le Petit Palais Palais vus des Invalides

Wracamy do Invalides, zeby zobaczyc z daleka dachy Grand i Patit Palais (Wielkiego i Malego Palacow). Te dwa budynki zostaly zbudowany na wystawe miedzynarodowa w 1900 i sa dzisiaj muzeami. Za nimi widzimy kolumny most cara Aleksandra III, obchodzacego francusko-rosyjska przyjazn po 1894r. Po wojnie z Prusami w 1870 i francuskiej klesce, Francja zostala izolowana z innych krajow europejskich i raczej slaba. Zeby pokazic swiecie, ze moc wrocil, rzad francuski zdecydowal sie zorganizowac wystawy miedzynarodowe w 1889r (na stolecie Wielkiej Rewolucji francuskiej) i w 1900r. Traktat przyjazni miedzy Francja a Rosja w 1894r jest poczatkiem wyjscie naszego kraju z izolacji (produktu polityki Bismarck'a).

Nous retournons aux Invalides pour regarder de loin les Grand et Petit Palais. Ces deux bâtiments ont été construits pour l'exposition universelle de 1900 et sont aujourd'hui des musées. Devant eux on peut apercevoir les colonnes du pont Alexandre III, symbole de l'amitié franco-russe. Après la guerre contre la Prusse en 1870 et la défaite française, la France est restée isolée et affaiblie. Afin de montrer au monde la fin de cette période noire, le gouvernement français décida d'organiser des Expositions universelles en 1889 (pour les 100 ans de la Révolution) et en 1900. Le traité d'amitié en 1894 entre la France et la Russie marque le début de la sortie de notre pays de l'isolement dans lequel l'avait plongé la politique de Bismarck.

We come back to the Invalides to see some buildings built for the Universal Exhibit of 1900, the Grand et Petit Palais. They are both museums. In front of them, you can see the columns of the Alexandre III Bridge symbol of Franco-Russian friendship after 1894. After the war with Prussia of 1870 and the French defeat, France was isolated of other European countries and weaker. In order to show the world the end of this dark period and the come back of wealth, the French governement organised Universal exhibits, one in 1889 (for the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution) and the other in 1900. The Friendship treaty with Russia in 1894 was the beginning of the end of the isolation of our country and which was a direct product of Bismarck's politics.
